Hidden Alchemy

IMO, Scorpio is one of the best signs in the zodiac. Scorpio is not afraid to ask why, or to poke and prod in order to get to what is real. She wants to go underneath it all, into the depths. In this sanitized, commercialized, and sterilized world we live in, she's the one who's not afraid to get messy in search of the truth. Instead of placing yet another bandage on her wound, she's the one who tears off the bandaid, investigates and assesses the damage, and then in a very matter of fact way decides what to do about it.

Scorpio loves to roll up her sleeves and get to work. She's not afraid of death, as she looks at all forms of loss as a lesson, and then does the deep work to find out what it has come to teach her. And my oh my, how she loves intensity. Scorpio enjoys letting go emotionally, physically, and mentally but not before she's thoroughly turned it around upside down, inside out, and sideways, making sure she's gotten the most out of the experience. So when she's finished, she's finished.

Come dive into the mystery of Sunday's Scorpio new moon this Friday and Saturday with Alchemy Yoga. Kundalini yoga classes this weekend will focus on the lungs and circulation. The lungs are where we store grief and where we hold attachment. When the lungs and circulatory system are not functioning properly we are easily hurt, closed off emotionally, and dependent on love and affection from others. When the lungs and circulation are in great shape you feel full of energy and in control. We are one with our breath and its flow in our body determines our emotional base and experience.

We will end class with the Pran Bandha Mantra Meditation to collect and command our life force or prana. This mantra takes us beyond attachment and opens the door to another dimension of the self, one in an unlimited sea of prana and life, enabling endless creativity and fearlessness.
I can't think of a better way to utilize the energies of the Scorpio new moon. Hope to see you in class.
